How To Overcome Stress

 

How do you overcome stress?  We’re stressed about this, or that, overwhelmed with things to do, and things that are happening in our lives, or even stress that hurts us, or we've allowed.  

 

Stress, or being stressed means,

“I’m afraid,”

public speaker Louise Hay says. 


We’re afraid of what is going to happen, or what is happening.  The anxiety of what is happening is not diminished just because we know about it… we are experiencing something right now in our lives.   And it is happening.  And it hurts.  We are experiencing it. 

 

We even feel stressed, or fear, because we experience it alone, or feel lonely.  Maybe we've been shut off from others.

 

Overcome Stress By Finding a Way to Experience Feeling Safe.

It is very important to first learn how you can feel safe, as you are growing in this time of stress or fear.

The inner child in you needs to feel safe first.

Make your faith not something that you do, or say, but a way of life for you.  Look at your personal connection to God.  Your higher calling means committing to every single decision you make now.

 

It becomes a way of being.

 

Overcome Stress By Letting Go.

“Letting go,” seems so trite because it is a true expression, but it becomes such a catch word, and easy to say without meaning from others.  They almost say it flippantly, or without care or feeling.

 

It doesn’t make it less true.

Figure out ways to release: release the pain, release the controlling of it, release the end results.

Put the name of your pain on a balloon, and find a place to release it.

Write "release" on a leaf, and let it float down a river.  Let the river take it wherever it will go.

 

Overcome Stress By Finding Comfort.

Instead you may have to think of other words of comfort that mean something to you, or help bring you to a place of less fear.

  1. “Grace of ease,” or
  2. “I receive now,” with your palms open as you speak or pray…
  3. Don't forget to:   “Ask, seek, find”.  (Mt 7:7)
  4. Have faith as the grain of a mustard seed.  Go purchase some mustard seeds.  Isolate one.  Keep it with you.  Make it real to you.  Make it physical. 

 

Overcome Stress By Becoming Stronger.

Another way to overcome stress is not being afraid to step into the better version of yourself... over and over again.

The best part is when you become liberated from these fears, or stress, then you become a service to others.  Remember, Grace and Ease.

 

Stop competing and comparing yourself among others, because this is not wise. 

 

There is only one of YOU in this whole-wide-world.  You have so many special things about you, and gifts which are special to offer to the world, because you are You.  You may even laugh at yourself and think no one appreciates you.  You don't know that.  You have to step out and take a baby step, and be happy for who you are.

 

Reclaim your faith when you don’t know where to turn.

 

Make a Decision.

 

Be solid in your path.

 

Make your next chapter in your new daily walk starting at this moment, as you read this.... to be one of:

 

  • Purpose.  
  • Prosperity.
  • And Love.

 

Overcome Stress With Purpose.

There are many ways and places to fulfill your Purpose.  

  1. Finish a commitment you made to yourself or someone.
  2. Think about what your heart's desire is.
  3. Meditate on what is available to you in resources, friends, or connections on how to fulfill a purpose you have secretly wanted to do in your life.  Those thoughts are there for a reason.  Is it to create something, help certain people you care about, and to make a difference or build a legacy.
  4. Begin to ask good questions; research.

 

Overcome Stress With Properity.

There are many forms of prosperity.  (Don't just think money.)

There is the prosperity of:

  1. time - 
  2. comfort
  3. beauty
  4. wisdom
  5. good health, health period.
  6. safety
  7. joy within you
  8. peace
  9. contentment
  10. success in what would make you feel successful.

 

Overcome Stress With Love.

Love in being kind.

Love by showing respect and worthiness to others.

Love by taking care of someone who needs help.

Love by listening to someone's burdens.

Love by singing to someone who feels lonely.

Love by actions, not just in your speech.

- 9 Steps On How To Love Yourself More

#1   You have to love yourself first, and take care of yourself.  If you do everything for everybody then to maintain that awesomeness which shows how great you are, then it comes with a price!

#2  Being a Superwoman, or Supermom means you have to maintain it.

#3  The love you receive becomes conditional:

  1. We love you mom, if…
  2. We love you if you do this…

(They don't say it, but watch their actions... it is very revealing)

 

#4  You are no longer being loved for who you ARE, but for what you DO for others.

 

(Not cool and not healthy!)

 

‘Caring for myself is not self indulgence;

it is self-preservation.”

 

#5  Did you realize that every time you get closer to Health, Happiness or your goal, someone is going to call you selfish?

 

(Be prepared for it!)

 

(Have no illusions)

 

#6  However, you CANNOT give from an empty cup; you will just resent it, and so will the persons who are receiving...

(they may not appreciate what you do for them, and possibly begin to take it for granted... just be aware of this).

 

#7  Start Loving Yourself More by:

  1. Being aware that You are human.
  2. Realize you are not alone in this path.
  3. Decide to start taking care of yourself - spiritually, emotionally, and physically.  (Each affects the other)

 

#8   How To Love Yourself More Ideas:

  1. Make a decision to do something you enjoy but have been putting off.  
  2. Go play your favorite sport, or watch it in person, or on tv.  
  3. Read a book.
  4. Treat yourself to a massage because it is a necessity, not a luxury.
  5. Plan a small flower or herb garden, and plan steps to follow through.
  6. Sign up for an educational course to learn something you've been wanting to do... no more putting it off... (a language, a skill like karate or tai chi, an online art class, a cooking class)
  7. Learn to play an instrument
  8. Do something fun.
  9. Do something you normally don't treat yourself to.
  10. Plan that trip you have been putting off, because you only live once and the clock is ticking...

 

#9  Start loving yourself more

... you'll be happier (And surprise!!!), so will everyone else!

Change and Transition

in Your Life?

Change and Decisions - 

Change and Transition is hard on us because we really want to make the right decisions for our life. 

 

Also, we may want someone else to change (so we feel better), and then we think our life will be different. 

 

But...

 

Change only comes from within ourselves.

 

 

“Change means... Change from a feeling of …

Separation

Isolation

Loneliness

Anger

Fear

or pain ...

 

into a state of peacefulness,

knowing that everything comes to you and that everything will be all right.”

Change and Responsibility -

You are responsible for yourself only. 

You cannot control those around you.  You cannot make another person happy.  

You cannot please others… they still can refuse to be pleased.

You cannot fix everything… sometimes others don’t want to fix themselves, or a relationship.

Sometimes, others  j-u-s-t   d-o-n-t   w-a-n-t   t-o   c-h-a-n-g-e.

They don't want to change for themselves.

And they don't want to change for you.

Therefore,

You can only be responsible for yourself, and your own choices.

Responsible?

What is "Responsiblity" and being responsible for yourself mean?

Responsibility – “Ability to respond to life.”

 

Change and You - 

Therefore, You must now decide whether you are you going to change you?

 

That decision will change your life.

 

But don’t let the fear of making a change in yourself, or a change in your life stop you from living your life, love, and taking care of yourself.

 

Steps to Change -

  1. Take a deep breath.  (Yes, now as you read this).
  2. Focus on the Beauty in your life, for today, for this moment, and have gratitude for what you have at this moment.
  3. Find out, and discover, how precious life really is.
  4. Stop focusing on the painful past or the unknown future. 
  5. Live moment by moment in the NOW. 
  6. Pay attention to the simple pleasures of life.

 

Change and Transition…

One step at a time.

One moment at a time.

One breath at a time.

 

And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God…  (Rom.8:28)

Do you have a passion you enjoy? 


This is a special Christian Song I am dedicating to my friend Abigail, a little girl with a big beautiful heart. 

I wanted to show her how to play an accordion, and then gifting this accordion to her with love.

His Eye Is On The Sparrow

Have you ever felt so burdened by the cares and troubles that come your way that you really begin to feel all alone, lonely, and discouraged?

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

.

This little song comes to my mind, "His Eye Is On The Sparrow", and is of great comfort to me.  Just to sing the little chorus is uplifting.

 

The song is based on the following scriptures:

"Look at the birds of the air; they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they?" (Matthew 6:26)

and

"Are not two sparrows sold for a farthing? and one of them shall not fall on the ground without your Father. But the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear ye not therefore, ye are of more value than many sparrows" (Matthew 10:29–31).

Civilla Martin, who wrote the lyrics, said that as she and her husband were visiting a Christian couple, the wife who had been bedridden for 20 years, and the husband cripple.  Despite their afflictions, she wondered how they could be so comforted and live such inspiring lives.

Mrs. Doolittle's reply was simple: "His eye is on the sparrow, and I know He watches me." The beauty of this simple expression of boundless faith gripped their hearts, and through their experience with the couple, Civilla was inspired to produce the tune.

Sometimes it is not the great things we do in life, but the simple things, and staying in the present moment with gratitude that produces our greatest strength and hope.

During these times... it may all you can do to just breath...

and every other breath whisper, "Abba Father, or Jesus."  

 

"As one whom His mother comforteth, so will I comfort you." Isa. 66:13

Be comforted that His eye is on the sparrow, and "know that He watches me"...
