An Inspirational Life..is a Life Out of Your Comfort Zone, Part 2

Early on we talked about how an inspirational life is a life out of your comfort zone. It all begins with a decision that you will be an inspiring person, it all begins with a decision that you will inspire others. Everything in life it seems begins with a decision. It sometimes makes you think where does things begins, in the heart or in the mind? Many will say in the heart, but in reality it’s all begins in the mind.
If we want to choose to live an inspirational life- a life that is beyond the ordinary, above average, superior without being arrogant, great without being unnecessarily dominant- it’s our head that does the first job. Our minds is powerful enough and is the central force of all our actions. Everything goes here and everything with logic and proper reasoning begins in the mind.
If we desire to nurture this mind and strengthen it, then we allow it to have control over us. A mind that can control emotion, body and one’s self is a mind that will do great things. Why? Because we are not moved by impulse nor circumstances but logic. We act only when it’s proper and not when we want to. We are able to filter the wants from needs, desires from necessities. When we are able to take control of the mind we choose to take hold of all our other senses, subjecting it to our reason and not our emotion.
It’s important that if we want to get out of our comfort zones, we subject the mind to the right filter. We fill it to the right principles and the proper virtues of life. We utilized our values and beliefs and transform them to concrete thoughts that will allow us to gain footing and take action on the matters that most concerns us.
To live an inspirational life is to live in a way that is not easily ruled by matters of the heart. And no, we do not mean we must be cold or detached, but we must work hard enough to make sure that our mind, the maker of our decisions, is not easily swayed by what we feel- but is motivated only to do the right thing.
When we are able to take control of the mind, then we can lead by example. We can live a life people would want to emulate. We can live a life people can recognize.
To get out of your comfort zone begins with a decision. To continue leaving that zone of stagnation requires control of the mind.
