Contentment as defined by Dictionary.com is the state of being contented; satisfaction; ease of mind. Three powerful descriptions when dissected makes us realize that having this in our life builds a strong pillar that will allow us to lead life in our own terms. A term that not only defines control or ability to define things, but to live it with in it’s greatest measure.
Contentment as a State of Being
As a thought for today, know and realize that contentment is a status that you reach. It’s not something that’s automatic or intrinsic. It’s something you strive for and you condition yourself to have. It is a standard that you bear as a person and becomes a lens for you to see things. When you’re in the state of being content, you make a deliberate decision to see things half-full and not half empty. You opt to obtain a frame of mind that will allow you to see the positive more than the negative, to see the authenticities and not the pretentions.
Contentment is Satisfaction
Acknowledging that you have enough and despite your desire to strive for more, you will be thankful of what you have. This simply means that you consider that you are living life to the fullest and that you have all you need. A cliche maybe but it’s true. Most of us already have the basics of life and we always tend to forget the sad reality taht satisfaction is key for us to see the things we have as enough. By being satisfied, we open ourself up for more blessings as we lose the space and baggage of worry, dissatisfaction and criticality.
Contentment is an Ease of Mind
There maybe a lot of thoughts in a day but our thought for today will give you what everyone on earth desires. It’s priceless and has no match to whatever riches and materal you desire to exchanged. The feeling that your mind is at ease and that you have no worries, no problems and no unnecessary desires that will keep us from enjoying life is an immeasurable blessing that everyone desires but seems to not have. A mind at ease is a mind prepared to understand and take in great thoughts and ideas.
Decide to be content. Decide to be happy. Decide to establish a pillar in your life that will lead to greatness.
